Insect Pests:
In the 1960′s I was privileged to attend University of California at Riverside and be involved with research in the Biological Control of Insect Pests. This led to involvement with one the FIRST Commercial Insectary and Field Service focusing on Biological and Integrated Pest Control. The company was spearheaded by Everett J. “Deke” Dietrick and still in operation under the direction of “Deke’s” daughter, Jan.
Click on the Banner below and spend time learning HOW TO control Garden Insect Pests Naturally and economically. I still use the Control system, 50 year later.

Birds, “critters” and Cats
We have always been blessed with a large Owl Population in the Eucalyptus Trees that surrounded Won Mini Ranch. These Owls were vigilant in helping us keep the varmints and pesky birds from the Back of Barn garden. But even there we effectively used this Head rotating Decoy Owl along with silver streamers. Watch the Video and spot the Owl in the left, behind the corn.

Realistic Rotating Head Scare Owl -
$ 27.99
Here is a way to keep critters at bay! Any natural enemy of the owl will fear this true-to-life replica of this majestic predator. It is made from weather resistant poly resin, with a head that bobs up and down, and turns 360º in the breeze. Shining yellow eyes keep a watchful eye out to protect your garden or fruit trees from birds and other critters, and the consistent movement keeps pests from ever figuring out the owl is not the real thing. Secure to just about any flat surface, or mount on a pole for the most realistic effect.

Chuck I think I will have to order that Owl for my Raised Garden Beds. What a great tool and addition to the decorations of our gardens. Also enjoyed your video of your behind the barn garden. You keep everything so orderly. Great job.
